Blog names...

So, I've been looking to start a full-on fashion blog just as soon as I can figure out HTML, blog most days of the week, and take a decent photo.....  soooooooo it's a long way off but I asked Jeremiah to do some brainstorming for blog names and I couldn't help but share:
1.) Epics of Eyewear
2.) Homage to Hats
3.) Legends of Leggings
4.) Hobo Chic Cowgirl
5.) Lady in the Street
6.) Epic Ensemble
7.) Thrilla

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  What a gem!!  Thrilla.  Priceless.

Goodbyes...

I had a bit of a sad night tonight because I said my final goodbyes to my ladyfrand, Morgan.  I tried to keep it swift, no crying.  But Morgan was there for me when I had no one else in Denver.  I remember one of the first nights we got together I'd just planned to check out her new litter of kitties but we ended up talking for three straight hours.  Some people come into your life at the exact time you need them most.  And boy, was her friendship appreciated.  Anywhoo, enough with the sads.  Morgan always liked my weirdest outfits so I think she'd approve of this one, turban and all.
Old Navy scarf.
Nine West messenger bag.

F21 and thrifted sweaters.  Nine West tights and socks.
AND!  Nine West oxfords?  Are these oxfords?  Either way, I love the suede body and patent heel and detailing.

HOWDY!

Today was the last day of moving cows before they'll be shipped out on Tuesday and we had the absolute perfect day of riding.  It's been over a month since I've been to the ranch so today was quite special.  This is Samantha, Sherman and Paint.  AND ME! I'll always be in awe of horses.
Jeremiah and Paint.
Sherman and me.  Not yet awake.
Hahaha.  He's so funny.  Today was one of our best rides as we were completely in sync the whole time.
Only missing Fireball and Jude in this one.  PERFECT DAY!!!!!!!  And in case you're wondering, we got all the cows.  AND!  we saw a baby yak.

Joke...

Jeremiah just made up a joke:
J: Do you like words?
S: Yeah.
J: You should read a book.

And we've been laughing for like, 10 minutes.  Probably time for bed.

Judgement...

Holy judgement!  I thought people came to college with the intention of opening their minds to new and unfamiliar ways of thinking but all I heard in my Race and Ethnicity in American Lit class today was the rigidity and hostility of my classmates' personal beliefs.  How can people expect to grow and open their minds if they are voluntarily stuck in the mud.  The judged judge the judged judge the judged just as I judge the judging.  What a cycle, what a world.  I just wish the rigidity of people's personal opinions didn't create an ever-present sense of self-righteousness with that sweet stink of superiority.  People shouldn't come to class if the only opinion they're interested in is their own.  Stay home and write in yer friggin' diary!  Just kidding, keep coming to class so I can come home and cry about it in my blog!!!  EEEE!!

Anywhoo!!  We just finished this book and it resonated with me in so many ways.  Mostly in regards to the chitter-chatter that is oh-so common in many (all?) cultures including our own.  Going back to judgement; the book made me wonder why people are so quick to chew people up and spit them out despite having such limited perspectives.  WHY!?  Whatevs, I do the same thing!  The point is, "Their Eyes Were Watching God" puts a mirror in front of readers' faces and forces them to take a good hard look.  "Just look at it!!"  In other news, I LOVE COLLEGE!

Positive energy...

Positive energy.  Positive energy.  Positive energy.  All I can think about lately are those words on repeat.  All I want to do is be around positive people and energy so I can build from the bad and send out my own positive energy.  I want to be my best self and change people's lives for the better regardless of my past self.

In addition to those feelings, a family friend of Jeremiah's is in a rough spot with his health and I'm struggling with this information because I was just playing Pitch with him last weekend.  And he was belly laughing at my sass and encouraging me to tune out all the other players, I was doing just fine.  I'm praying with all my positive energy for Big Joe right now.

Party...

Hey, Hi.  Just wanted to document my new arm party, necklace and yeller hat from Target.  Jeremiah and I drove over this afternoon to sneak a peak at the Missoni for Target line and as suspected everything was mostly cleared out.  I tried on a few blouses and the cut was exceptional but I still wasn't feeling the $50 price tag so I moved on to the 75% off rack and found some cheapy goodies.
The flower "bracelet" is a necklace Eva game me which I've been wearing on my wrist instead to make room for the feather necklace from Target.  Despite finding some great stuff, I won't be a regular shopper of Target jewelry as F21 and Claire's are WAY less expensive and have a greater variety to choose from.  Lesson learned on that one.
The watch and friendship lookin bracelet are from Target.  The two others are super old from high school.
Jeremiah went to the gem and minerals show this morning and found the wood bracelets on my right hand for a dollar each.  Steal!!  The anchor dress was $10 on sale and the hat was $3 at Target.  If anyone wants to pick up a hat for the warmth of their head, they are in the men's section of Target in a million colors.  The belt is F21.
I LOVE FINDING CHEAPY STUFF!!!
After Target, Jeremiah and I settled in to watch some Toy Story 3 which was an unexpected emotional roller coaster.  Laughing, crying, gasping with wide-eyed befuddlement... you name it, this movie put me through the emotional ringer and it was so worth it!!!  Who knew a "kids" movie could get to me so much.  I give TS3 all of my thumbs up.

Tie me tight...

I'm so frustrated with my DSLR camera!!!!!  RARR!  I spose I'll just have to bite the bullet and find some photo classes to take but until then I'll keep whining to poor Jeremiah about my lackluster photog skillz.  I was glad to wear this new blue shirt, though.  I bought it the first time I went to Beauty Bar with Kelsey, Casey and the two Laura's and as per usual, Kelsey said I MUST buy the shirt.  So I did.  Tonight was another fun "girly" night spent at Aveda Salon for their 25th anniversary.  The best part was the free product, food and dranks.  YUM.

Old Navy tie-sleeve shirt and heels, F21 sunnies and skinnies, Jeremiah's canvas backpack.
Urban Outfitters bling.
Fresh fall nail polish by Sinful Colors (WALGREENS, HOLLA!!)
More Sinful Colors polish.

ALSO, I have a Walgreens date with Ashley tomorrow which can't come soon enough.  I have to first get through a lecture on Shakespeare's Othello and my presentation on Zora Neale Hurston..... but then I will have my reward!!!!!!

Biker Betty...

I found some biker shorts in my house and squealed with glee at my luck!!  There are endless outfit options to try with biker shorts so I'm sure you'll be seeing them a lot.  I also found these Nine West booties for 75% off and HAD to buy.  I might have picked them up in black too... yikes.  I showed my brothers and Addy after the shopping trip and there was definitely some head shaking:)  Both colors should be available online and in stores if anyone feels so inclined!
Sunnies&Jacket: F21  Sweatshirt: Old Navy  Striped sweater: Perry Ellis (Men's)  Shorts: Found  Boots: Nine West.

I'm already obsessed with these and wear them every day to class.

Jeremiah forced me to smile in one picture.

Horsies & Kiddos...

Jeremiah's sister Jaime and her family came to stay at the ranch while they were taking care of some business in Colorado and I was soo thrilled to see their little ones.  They've both grown too much since I saw them last so hopefully Jeremiah and I will get to visit them again soon.  Potentially in South America!!!  Here are pics from a relaxing day making sand castles and riding horses.
 Eli has grown the most.
