Sick day...

I've officially declared today to be a "sick day."  I haven't left bed yet.  This weekend was so very much fun.  J got my mom, brother, and me free tickets to the symphony on friday and the seats were amazing.  I love going to high brow shows like that... I'm hoping we make it to the Romeo and Juliet ballet this coming weekend.  Saturday was productive.  We cleaned the house all day and then went to a beach party themed Hindyshot show.  I wore a teeny weeny pink bikini and am now so ready for spring and summer.  Denver is always beautiful outside but I long for blistering hot days and perfect nights of cook outs and backyard parties.  Saturday was also the last night I was to see Eva in a while.  I'll be reminded of her in ballet class till we hopefully reunite in PARIS.  Other than goodbyes, the night was truly joyous.  Lucas wore a full shark suit on stage, everyone else wore wetsuits that left little to the imaginiation (!!!), and Spencer wore the shortest shorts I've ever seen!  At one point the crowd chanted "Spencer's legs! Spencer's legs!"  I'll post pictures when they pop up on facebook... I didn't have a camera for the first time ever.  Until then, here's another outfit post.  I seem to have a lot of them lately.
Blouse: Thrifted  Shirt: H&M  Jacket: F21  Jeans: Hot Topic  Shoes: Nine West  Boombox: Jeremiah

Speaking of...

Jeremiah and I are going to look for a new bed today.  We've been waking up sore for a month or so so a new bed is sorely needed.  Ha!  That's funny.  Ugh, sorry, anyway...   Speaking of leggings, riding boots, and a signature sweater; here's another.  I found this sweater in the dudes section of Buffalo Exchange.  So perfect!!
 Fur hat: Jeremiah's grandpa's.

For a day like today...

Today is colder than yesterday.  The past threeish, twoish? weeks have been so blissfully spring-like so today was a shocker.  Good things about today: hanging out with my mom and lil brahther and going to the symphony with Jeremiah.  I've worn today's outfit a number of times.  So simple, so easy.  Shrunken sweater, leggings, riding boots.  Target, F21, Nine West.  OH! and my favorite bag in the world: Thrifted Liz Claiborne?  I think so.

Smoke...

I'm stressed out as all hell.
I have no reason to be.
Eva's headed back to Sweden.  Yesterday I gave her some parting gifts and she gave me a necklace.
The day before Spencer and I got some people together for a hearty goodbye at Gabor's.
I drank way too much and got all weepy.
Eva and I are going to a ballet lesson together on Wednesday.
I had a great talk with Lynde the other night.  She surprised me with wonderful gifts for my birthday.
Jeremiah is having a go at quitting smoking.  He's doing great so far but it's really hard to seem him in so much pain and discomfort.
My mom is in Colorado so I'm very excited to see her.  She fixed my laptop as a birthday present.
I'm in choir now with Morgan and I love it so far.  I haven't sung in a controlled way in years.
Work on the house is going very well.  Our master bathroom is beautiful thanks to Adam, Mark and Jeremiah.
I've got too much to do for History and Creative Writing.
I find out the status of my schooling tomorrow.
I buy my tickets to Paris this week.  OMG.
Chauncey Billups is leaving Denver.  Very sad news.  F'ing Melo.
J and I decided to name our first puppy Chauncey no matter what.

Any thoughts, prayers, and encouragement should be sent Jeremiah's way.  Smoking sucks as does quitting smoking.

I should be...

I should be working on a Creative Writing assignment but I keep stopping and starting.  We are supposed to complete a thirty page piece by the end of the semester and I'm getting caught up with not knowing who my characters are.  I know they are frustrated, anxious, and stressed out because that is what I am.  I'm frustrated with the neverending rollercoaster.  The normal ups and downs are fine, even fun most days.  But then there's the big highs that eventually lead to the big lows.  And I listen to this song ten times in a row to try to get me in the mood for writing something sad but then I just get sad.  Yuck, yuck.  I'm going to go to bed, things are always better in the morning.

On a lighter note, and speaking of smoking, Jeremiah is quitting in 10 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Hell to the yeah.  Goodnight.

I'll have one art...

We had Spencer over for a grand spaghetti dinner the other night and he couldn't help but make fun of me for my art obsession.  To prove him right, here are a bunch of pictures from January's first Friday:
Trench: bebe  Purse: thrifted Liz Claiborne  Shoes: thrifted Doc Martins $4  Everything else: Forever 21
I've talked about First Fridays before, but the amount of art galleries that hold free showings is unlike anything I've experienced before.  I find myself rushing at full speed from gallery to gallery to see as much as I possibly can.  The Denver Art Museum always has a lot of the same pieces from month to month but I almost never see the same work at First Fridays.
I always find myself most attracted to color, the human figure, and innovative depictions of faces.
Someday I'll have a house full of art like this.
 THESE WERE THE COOLEST!!!
Love the hands behind the back and pointed foot.  Very dainty gestures.
Afterward, Jesse gave us a free tasting of all his Leopold Bros alcohol. The Blackberry Liqueur was my favorite. Cheers!
